On March 8, 1993 an artist by the name of Mike Judge showed the executives at MTV a short film he had made called “Frog Baseball”. This short film featured best friends from the town of Highland Texas playing in a field, and by playing in a field I mean blowing up bugs, hitting frogs with a baseball bat and in the end, even hitting a poodle. After MTV saw this film they signed Judge to a contract and Beavis and Butt-Head were born.
These two kids, with their course sense of humor, shaped a generation of youth by laughing at things that had to do with violence, sex, or anything that they deemed “COOL”. Beavis and Butt-Head did not have the largest following but they sure did have loyal fans. Anyone who had the “privilege” of being in middle school or high school during this era knew kids that would mimic the voices of these two slackers and CONSTANTLY say things like, “This sucks!” “Heh, heh, heh, heh, Cool”, “I am Cornholio!” or even asking for “TP for their bung hole.”
Of course this never got annoying.
The show lasted four years (8 Seasons, 222 Episodes) and chronicled the adventures of these two morons. One famous reoccurring segment of the show featured the worst of what Heavy Metal music videos had to offer, while Beavis and Butt-Head commented on them with a Mystery Science Theater style of humor.
It was in 2011 however that Beavis and Butt-Head where reborn in hopes that their cult following would enjoy some new material. And we did…
Here is our tribute shirt to Beavis and Butt-Head as they are wearing suits made from the cartoon characters Ren and Stimpy. We hope you like it.
