Los Angeles is a town of highly competitive and dedicated sports fan(atics)! So, when the Anaheim Angels decided they were gonna claim the decorated city as their own many people didn’t take too kindly to the invasion. Nevertheless, in recent years (read: from 1988 until now) the Dodgers have been slowly drifting into oblivion. This has given Angels fans room to lift their heads and has superficially given them claim to the city.
In my circle of friends and family Im almost alone in my love for the Blue Crew. I just think they have more street cred. Plus, when I was younger, and an aspiring ball player myself, Mike Scioscia was my idol. Remember, he used to play the Dodgers behind the plate. While almost everyone I know prefers the Angels because of their more clean, preppy O.C. vibe.
