Mark your calendars y’all. May 3rd is the day the Beastie Boys new album “Hot Sauce Committee Part Two” emerges from the five boroughs.
Fans of the NY trio of white boys have been waiting for some time for the delayed album ever since Adam Yauch (aka MCA) announced via YouTube that he had been diagnosed with cancer back in July 2009. Since the announcement information has been far and few between. Luckily, Adam is doing well.
The new album announcement Mike D (aka Michael Diamond) simply updated the bands blog with the album art and a short caption that read: “MAY THREE, Y’all”! Of course, with a new album we’re almost certainly guaranteed a tour. The last time I saw the Beastie Boys live was in October of 2006. It was my friend Donavon’s birthday and we scored tickets to a small show at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood. We made the short video below out of some really rough footage we shot from the crowd. If you get motion sickness I wouldn’t recommend watching it. Anyway… here’s to the good times ahead.
If you’re wondering what happened to part one, “Hot Sauce Committee Part One” is still delayed.
