IPHONE 4 OR BUST: FAIL

So, yesterday came and went and Im still sans iPhone 4. I’m a bit confused though. I did everything I was suppose to. I reserved my iPhone 4 on the 15th like a good boy. I went and stood in line at the Apple Store today like I was told. Still… nothing. When I got there the line was a few blocks long and moving very slowly. I was concerned. I couldn’t even see the front of the store from I was. In fact, I was still in line when the store technically closed at 9 pm.

Around that time I called the Apple Store to get confirmation that I would still be helped even though it was after closing. I was assured I would be helped and that I would get my iPhone shortly. Three hours later we were told that mall security was kicking us out and that we’d have to come back and wait in line all over again tomorrow (today). We were issued claim tickets and sent home.

A few people started arguing. Police were arriving. I was defeated and left.

Lesson learned: after four consecutive years of iPhone releases the process is still in shambles and shows no signs of improving. To be honest though, I like being apart of the chaos. Im going back for my iPhone 4 at 5 am. If I go to sleep now that’ll get me a solid three hours of shut-eye. Sweet dreams.

UPDATE: This morning I missed my 5 am wake-up call. I slept in ’til 9 am and woke up in a panic. I threw some clothes on (yes, I sleep naked) and headed over to the Apple Store – again. When I arrived the line again was wrapped around and through the mall (Victoria Gardens). I took my chances and headed toward the front door to confirm that I would have to wait in line. I wasn’t looking forward to it.

To my surprise and delight I was let right in to the Store where I was helped immediately. Five minutes later I walked out of the store with my two brand new iPhone 4′s. They are now syncing and updating. The End.
