LAKERS vs SUNS GM.4 (recap)

5In a playoff series when a team owns home court advantage it simply means that if they win every game on their home court they will win the series.  That is exactly what the Lakers have to do now that the series is tied 2-2.  The story with the Lakers in game 4  is very similar to that of game 3: free throw discrepancy, little to no defense, and a lack of a sense of urgency.  The Suns did exactly what was expected of them, they came out in their house and took care of business.  They played the game exactly like we know they can play the game.  There should be nothing shocking about the series score right now.

There are a few things that did shock me while watching game 4 though. First was the level of basketball Kobe Bryant was playing at.  This was seriously the closest to Michael Jordan we have seen Kobe get.  My only question is, why on earth was he not shooting more in the fourth quarter? I mean he only took TWO shots!  The next thing that shocked me was why were our lowest scorers in the game taking all the three pointers in the closing minutes?  The last question I have is, why did Pau and Kobe sit so much in the fourth quarter?  This is the playoffs you give every single bit of energy you when in a close game, there is NO rest period!

The Lakers now have to come home do exactly what they did in games one and two that brought them the W.  Attack the basket, you will not get foul calls and go to the line if you do not attack the basket.  This will get them to the line more and put the Suns in foul trouble also get us points.  The biggest thing though is our defense, when we play Laker defense the Suns have no chance against us.  Just as we expected the Suns  to not lay down at home we can expect us to not too either.  We must win at home.

6 more wins until another Laker Championship…
